Marine Ceramics: 15-Year Warranty Program

Download: Full Warranty Guide here

Our Guarantee:

Marine Ceramics, LLC guarantees that our ceramic coatings will provide long-lasting protection and enhancement for your vessel’s surfaces for up to 15 years, ensuring resistance against UV damage, corrosion, stains, and oxidation, while maintaining a high-gloss and hydrophobic finish. With our comprehensive warranty coverage, you can trust in the durability and performance of our products.

General Terms and Conditions:

Here are the general terms and conditions of the “Marine Ceramics Warranty Program”:

  1. Annual Service Contract:

The customer is required to maintain an active service contract with an authorized installer for the entire duration of the warranty.

This contract must include bi-weekly washes, ceramic coating maintenance, and regular inspections to ensure the surface remains in optimal condition.

Only Marine Ceramics brand products are permitted for all cleaning, maintenance, and surface treatments under the terms of this contract. The use of any non-Marine Ceramics products will void the warranty.

  2. Warranty term begins from the date of successful warranty registration and the receipt of a valid warranty approval number.

  3. Initial application must be conducted by an Authorized Marine Ceramics Installer/Dealer.
  4. Any application, re-application, repair work, or maintenance on the coated surface must be executed by an Authorized Marine Ceramics Installer with post-claim approval from Marine Ceramics, LLC.
  5. To ensure integrity of our premium ceramic coatings, only the “Marine Ceramics” brand of specialty maintenance products are permitted for washing, cleaning, and maintaining the coated surfaces.
  6. The Marine Ceramics Agent must be notified of any claim due to product performance failure within 30 days of occurrence.
  7. All vessels must undergo a complete machine polishing by an Authorized Installer, before application.
  8. Vessels must retain continuous registration within the United States throughout the warranty duration.
  9. This agreement excludes vessels utilized for commercial purposes at any time prior to, currently, or during the warranty period.
  10. Transferable Warranty: The warranty is registered under the vessel owner’s name and is transferrable only if the new owner complies with the semi-annual service requirement. Failure to do so will reduce coverage to “1 year” from the last qualified service date. Call a Marine Ceramics agent to transfer ownership.

    General Liability Limitations:

Marine Ceramics, LLC and its representatives will not accept liability in the following instances:

    1. Damage or deterioration existing prior to the application of Marine Ceramics products.
    2. Deterioration of factory-installed equipment or any treated part that fails to meet standard specifications due to the actions of vessel manufacturers, their dealerships, third-party suppliers, or any unauthorized detailers or service techs.
    3. Blemishes such as swirl marks, marring, scratches, scuffs, scrapes, chips, and hard water spots on painted surfaces.
    4. Commercial vessels.
    5. Exclusion of coverage for areas along the waterline and below.
    6. Damage resulting from impacts, excessive wear, heat or incidents not attributed to environmental occurrences, including collisions, abrasions or non-environmental factors.
    7. Instances where claims fall under warranties provided by vessel manufacturers.
    8. Failure to uphold the vessel’s maintenance and semi-annual inspection standards and techniques recommended by Marine Ceramics, LLC.
    9. This warranty does not cover damage from normal wear and tear. While our product enhances durability, it cannot completely prevent wear.
    10. The warranty period may be reduced based on the boat's age and condition when the coating is applied. Newer boats are eligible for the full warranty, but older boats may have a shorter warranty due to prior exposure to the marine environment.

      General Warranty Invalidation:

Marine Ceramics, LLC warranty coverage becomes void if any of the following conditions occur:

      1. Neglecting to maintain the vessel according to Marine Ceramics, LLC’s recommended maintenance, service and inspection standards.
      2. Damage inflicted by unauthorized chemicals, abrasive compounds, polishes, or third-party products.
      3. Damage resulting from collisions or other vessel accidents.
      4. Failing to repair and re-treat surfaces affected by accident damage as outlined in the warranty.
      5. Damage caused by alterations or modifications to the vessel surfaces.
      6. Damage resulting from manufacturer’s defects.
      7. Damage to the vessel that occurred prior to the application of the product.
      8. Not adhering to any requirements specified under the terms and conditions of the warranty.
      9. Damage, whether accidental or deliberate, including but not limited to fire, flood, extreme weather conditions, secondary effects from these events, or any other force majeure
      10. Marine Ceramics, LLC retains full discretion in determining warranty coverage and reserves the right to decide whether a claim will be honored. This includes the authority to limit warranty coverage or decline warranty claims entirely.
      11. Failure to adhere to the annual service contract with a Marine Ceramics Authorized Installer, or if the terms and conditions of that contract are not met, will result in the invalidation of the Surface Warranty. In such cases, any remaining warranty coverage, including extensions, will be forfeited.

      Warranty/Guarantee Definitions:

At Marine Ceramics, we offer two types of assurances for our premium ceramic coating products.

      Surface Warranty:

The “Surface Warranty” provides long-term protection for your boat’s exterior surfaces, including gelcoat, paint, metal, glass, vinyl, inflatable boat tubes and other treated areas. It covers damages such as UV damage, corrosion, stains, and oxidation. To qualify for this warranty, customers must adhere to the requirements outlined in the warranty guide, including semi-annual inspections and compliance with all terms and conditions.

      Product Guarantee:

The “Product Guarantee” ensures the performance and durability of Marine Ceramics’ premium ceramic coating products. It covers defects and failures in the coating as long as customers maintain proper care as outlined in the warranty guide. This includes using Marine Ceramics Maintenance Products for cleaning and maintenance. Unlike the “Surface Warranty”, the “Product Guarantee” does not require semi-annual inspections but relies on adherence to the required care instructions.

Bi-weekly Washes and Ceramic Coating Inspection & Maintenance:

      1. Bi-Weekly Washes, Ceramic Coating Inspections, and Maintenance:

To maintain the “Surface Warranty,” bi-weekly washes, ceramic coating inspections, and maintenance must be performed by an Authorized Marine Ceramics Installer. The installer will ensure that the ceramic coating continues to perform optimally through regular cleaning, inspections, and maintenance.

      2. Semi-Annual Inspections and Services:

In addition, semi-annual inspections and services must be completed within 30 days before the scheduled service date every six months. A Marine Ceramics Authorized Installer will negotiate a fee with you based on what is required by your semi-annual inspection schedule, as detailed in your “Ceramic Coating Service Requirements” section of this guide.

      3. Warranty Requirements:

While the bi-weekly washes and semi-annual inspections are not mandatory to maintain the standard “Product Guarantee,” failure to adhere to these requirements will invalidate the long-term “Surface Warranty.” In such cases, only the standard “Product Guarantee” listed under each section of the warranty guide will apply.

      4. Consequences of Non-Compliance:

Failure to conduct the required bi-weekly washes or the semi-annual inspection within the specified periods will result in the voiding of any remaining “Surface Warranty,” including the forfeiture of any warranty extensions.
